My gemstone mala has been in my possession already for some time. At certain times and occasions I wear it, but there are also times that it is in my jewelry box. Last week I found a beautiful book in the bookstore. It is written in the german language and is called: “Edelsteine als Wegbegleiter”. The moment I started reading the book I was immediately captured by the way it was written. With openness and vulnerability and with a lot of love for the power of gemstones.

Bying malas for my meditation practice
Reading this book made me enthusiastic for using my own mala for my meditation practice (something which I had never done before). Going into silence, repeating my mantra and at the same time moving one bead after another with my thumb over the middle finger of my right hand. I noticed that it is easier to stay in the present moment when using the mala, my thoughts don’t drift away from my mantra so much.
Integrating mala meditation at work
As I am a meditation teacher at Ayurveda Resort Sonnhof, I got the idea of teaching the guests to meditate with a mala. A couple of days ago I ordered 10 malas in an online shop in Germany. They just had a very nice wintersale. The universe was backing me up thereš. Now I am waiting for the delivery and as soon as they have arrived, I will start to integrate them in my meditation lessons. It is always nice to start something new, investing time (and some money) in my own spiritual journey so that I can teach other people more tips and trics for the meditation practice. In my next blog I will write a review how things worked out. In the meantime my gemstone mala will be guiding me in the beautiful practice of meditation. NamastĆ© to you all.
